Celeste Morales

Texas native Celeste Alexandria Morales is our 2022 Giulio Gari Foundation First Prize Winner. A graduate of the Manhattan School of Music, Celeste spent 2021 as a fellow in the prestigious Merola Young Artists Program of the San Francisco Opera. Roles in her repertory include Mozart’s Donna Anna, Donna Elvira and Countess, Verdi’s Desdemona and Alice Ford, Puccini’s Suor Angelica, Mimi in Boheme and Suzel in Mascagni’s L’Amico Fritz.

Celeste sings Senza mamma from Puccini’s Suor Angelica. In this aria, Angelica mourns the death of her child.
